Middle School Admissions & Registration

Welcome! Middle school applications open in the Fall through your MySchools Account. We invite prospective families to learn more during our open house events held from late October through early December.

If you are a transfer student, please verify that our school is your designated zone school by visiting the NYCPS School Search Tool. To register your child or ask questions, please contact our school secretary, Ms. Loiacono, at GLoiacono@schools.nyc.gov or call the main office at 718-830-4970.  Appointments are required.

Register for the 2026–2027 School Year

Welcome to Russell Sage JHS 190! We are so excited that you will be joining us for the 2025-2026 school year. To help make this transition as easy and comfortable, as possible, for you and your child, here are a few important pieces of information that we will need from parents and guardians in order to fully register your child:

  • Child MUST be present upon registration
  • Child's proof of age (birth certificate, passport, government issued ID)
  • Proof of Grade/ Transcripts
  • Child’s immunization records: Students being enrolled into the NYC Public Schools must be up to date on all the necessary vaccinations.
  • Two proofs of address in the parent or guardian’s name that is registering the child: The following proofs are eligible; Con Edison bill, gas bill, pay stub, phone bill, or W2’s. Any bill you submit must be dated within the last 60 days of registration. If you do not have a bill in your name and are residing in someone else’s home you must go to the NYC Public School website and fill out a Parent Affidavit Form. Whoever you are residing with must also fill out the form stating you are currently living with them. Please bring in that form as well as two proofs of address in their name.

2026-2027 Orientation

The orientation is scheduled for September 1, 2026 at 9 AM. To participate in, please submit the registration form.
